Knock sensor code???

I tried to search the forums to find anything that may have been posted on this, but I didn't come up with anything ?

My 2001 LGT is throwing a code

So, that's it - just get a new one??? That seems pretty easy... The guy at the auto parts store said I can change it but that doesn't mean it would fix what "could" be the problem... Just hide it. I didn't really understand him, hence I'm asking you guys ?

they crack easily. i had the same code replaced it and it hasn't come back. try to find one with a lifetime warranty or go OEM

TGX is 100% correct, they crack very easily and it's not uncommon for them to go bad on these cars. Make sure you torque it to spec as well (25lbs IIRC).
