so i was driving to work the other day on Glisan in my 91 legacy ss, and a guy in a sandstone BE, with wheels and exhaust cruised up by me we had a conversation while talking in traffic. i would love to actually have gotten his name cuz i got no car buddies since i moved to portland.

I think that modded Legacies are so rare, that we always have to greet other owners.

I passed a guy on Saturday with a clean looking BH, lowered, white wheels, and some other things done. I was driving my Wagon. Sadly I couldnt slow down to talk to the guy!
You see modded Impreza's every where, but rarely Legacy's! I truly believe we are a different bread. Dosent matter if its a 1st gen or a new arrival you always respect a Leggy... :smt023

I think we should get a Leggy wave going, for when you pass a nice Legacy going in the opposite direction and you can't say hi
Everytime I pass a modded Legacy, I wanna talk to them, but I never get the chance. On top of that, I don't see modded Legacies very often.

ill have to keep my eyes out for you. i am in the portland area. mostlly hillsboro and beverton.
I dont personally drive to much with my ptsd issues. Ocasionaly i might get out to apointments at the VA in portland so i might see you guys around. My wife drives it majority of the time to work (2000 green bh wagon) with winter black steelies on right now.
i would like to say i think there is regular meets at the sonic in hillsboro on fridays around 7pm.
but i also think i read that its mostly a showing of wrx's so many of those out here. but a few leggy's sometimes.

Seen a fellow enthusiast on i82 east for a good 30miles toward yakima today in a 2nd Gen sedan satin black. It was kinda cool, felt like a lil cruise. Threw up a wave as I passed, don't think it was noticed though.

"what exhaust?"
"i dont know i bought it that way to go back and forth to school."

LOL :smt005 :smt023 you got it.
ya their are a few leggys here, but I attribute that to this being Minnesota and subarus are NEEDED, so hand-me-downs are most likely trucks and subarus. it seems at times that outbacks make up 25-33% of the vehicles on the road in Duluth, its awesome, but mine is the ONLY modded outback in town :smt023 :smt023

That is true, I haven't gotten the chance to randomly meet a person with a modded legacy though, I do know two guys with a modded BD but still. I have had a guy that drove a green BD legacy park his car in my place of works parking lot and he happened to glance at mine for a split sec but right away took a double look and then went up to mine and checked it out. Then like month later he happened to be back but when he was leaving I happened to be on my car on break and he honked I turned and he waved and I waved back. I don't know if hes on any forums but he did seem more interested in the car then just a person who has it to drive from A to B in.

There's only like 5 modded Legacies up here in Port Angeles. Two being the ones in my signature and the others I know nothing about other than the one bd I see is a highschooler car and I don't think the kid gets it at all.

:-(
Its so sad.. I live in a area that is so saturated with Impreza & Fozzy.
Every now and then I attend our local Legacy meet and we get max 40 cars that come out.. I constantly see modified legacy's most being BL/BP but even still none of them care about the local scene. I've asked a few of them where they hang out online/offline and most just say "general subaru forums" and local spots. None of them are into the "die hard legacy screen" like SLi tries to promote.
Its sad... since when I go to annual hyper meet (massive Toronto meet) I see so many legacy's that have no interest in being a part of such a small community.

I live in Beaumont TX. Near Houston. I've only seen one modded Legacy: Mine. See a few Outbacks though.
But conversations in traffic? In my car?
Conversations in my car go like this: HOLY FUCK YOUR CAR IS LOUD! What? I SAID YOUR CAR IS LOUD! What? My car is loud, talk louder.
Thats my conversation in traffic.
EDIT:
Fudge? Profanity censor with a sense of humor.
