I have a 1998 Subaru Legacy L wagon NA stock 135 hp ej22 motor with 170k miles on it-I just sold the motor and now I'm putting in a 2005 LGT Turbo Aspirated stock 250 hp ej25 motor with 100k miles on it. I already took apart the new motor and replaced all the gaskets, seals, timing belt etc. and just bought a brand new 2009 Forester TD04 Turbo that has 100 miles on it-they immediately took it out to do an sti swap on the forester-which btw was Steve's Pacific Import Auto's big project in spanaway. My question for you guys is the wiring, I have never messed with an ECU before-Were planning on putting in the GT dash in my legacy and so were rewiring EVERYTHING. I live in the tacoma area and I work at Tool Guru Subaru & Auto Import Repair, if any of you are local and are willing to come help out or check out the swap then PM me please. I really don't know what my best course of action though is gonna be to go about wiring this. PLEASE HELP ME! haha Any knowledge on these 2 motors will help. What would you do if you were in this situation?? Thanks guys.

Here's some pictures of the swap
Here's the engine right now

Here's the VF40 that came with the 2.5-it's gotta broken wind mill inside so I'm getting a smaller TD04 because I still haven't gotten a better tranny or set of axels etc.

Just use all of the LGT harness and ecu then just splice accordingly. Seems simple enough

This is going to similar to doing an Sti/wrx swap, which has been pretty heavily documnted.

That doesn't make it easy though.

How's the build coming?

The build is going great-I got the turbo x member-steering rack-hubs-control arm and everything in. I got black leather back seats, drilled and slotted rotors, the engine is all assembled and ready to drop in. The project that I'm currently working on is making a turbo inlet-the stock one is ripped which leaves potential for a vacuum leak that I'm not gonna risk so I'm cutting up and welding my cold air intake to be a turbo inlet
