The EJ25D will spin it... but its not the spinning problem that I am worried about ... its when the spinning has spooled and you start making some JAM .. tick tick. knock knock. boom..

EJ25D is not a boost friendly motor without $$$ at machine shop :-D

Regulate the boost via a controller and you can run it just fine, I am currently running a t4 t70, with .68 trim. Boost doesn't hit until upper 3k rpm though. I would recommend a vf39, and building your engine for legitimate boost levels (otherwise you're limited to <8 psi of boost).

Also, chuck is right. You will need to combat knock with an intercooler and colder plugs + more (better) fuel. It's work, and it takes time to get it right. If you're genuinely curious, read my build thread. I have just finished what you're thinking of attempting.

Hey, just as a little bit more help for you, a local turbo shop imparted some wisdom upon me yesterday that a t3 50 trim would be the ideal turbo for our engines. You'll lose just a little bit on spool up, but it won't choke up top either.

looking at your sig your turbo is humongous, specially when spooling it at 7 psi. yeah a t3/t4 50 trim would be even better cause you get a spool of a t3 and the power of t4

At 7psi, you could use a tiny TD04 off a EJ20 WRX and have 7psi of boost from 2200rpm to redline.

The heat would be awful. Especially up top in the rpm.
