Mine rusted out how hard is it to replace? Is it welded or bolted in there? Shop wanted $300 to replace it... Id expect to pay $400 for a whole new tank :/.

It's just bolted in place, but most of them are rusted and will snap. There is a hose clamp holding it to the tank. When you replace it, don't put the plastic cover that holds all the salt and road crud against the pipe back into place.

^^ I paid a dealer $300 to do mine. It was worth it at the time because I had no time.
When you have it reinstalled, hit the pipe liberally with some underbody coating (rubberized). It'll help prevent corrosion.

I just did mine. 3 screws up top at the cap, a 10mm bolt holding it in the wheel well, and a hose clamp at the bottom. There is also a smaller hose coming out up top, which I ended up replacing with a newer (and thereby softer) hose to make the job easier. If I knew the hose size, I would tell you, but I just took a piece in that I cut off and the manager at Advance Auto just gave me a section they had laying around. I sprayed everything with WD-40 and still had to buy a screw extractor for one of the three screws up by the cap.

Local parts stores don't carry it, still a $160 savings.

I just used regular paint, but did a couple of coats.
,the new pipe will have a coating on it already.

k got the hose. How do you get the pipe off the hose at the bottom? I had to cut the hose clamp off but it still wont come off.
and is there anyway to replace that bottom hose easily? It just disappears in between the car and the rear sub-frame or what ever, I cut in to it a little when cutting off the hose clamp.
