I put mine in the oven for 15-20 minutes at about 150F. I checked them every 5 minutes and then pried them apart, popped out the reflector, and stuck them back together.

The relector is just held in there by a bit of glue, so it doesnt take much to pull them out

here is a link to my legacy/liberty site i use, http://www.ozliberty.com/forums/showthread.php?t=236 it is a diy page explaining another way to go about it, seems a bit drastic in its approach but it worked for me also.

just trying to keep the DIY section clean. It is kinda the showcase of these forums.

Anyways, I have a linky that might help (hopefully this will get moved to the appropriate forum, I can't move it):

Thanks for the links, guys. Me and a friend cleared out our headlights on our Subaru's and everything went smoothly. I thought I'd add a few tips:

- If you want to rid of all the orange, you can go out and buy SilverStar bulbs and they come in "rainbow" type bulbs that look really cool. I'll post a picture soon for those who are trying to decide.

- Be sure when removing the headlight from the actual car that all the wires and lights are pulled out. Especially with a Subaru Outback because those tend to have more wires.

- When melting the glue inside the oven, leave in for a good 6-7 minutes, when it comes out, use a flathead screw driver to pry it open enough and to loosen the glue up then pull really hard. The first one we did took a good 20 minutes and 3 trips back to the oven.

- Most importantly, I'd recommend going to an auto parts store and buying a $3 tube of silicone sealing glue because after you get done prying and pulling the glue, it probably won't be sealed well enough.

Good luck, and if you need help with this, feel free to send me a PM. :)

Haha, I'm debating on customizing a grille too so I want to take a picture with both my mods. I'm also waiting for a new pair of lights since the lights that the lady assured me would work, did not.

Alright, I cleared the corners yesterday and Advanced Auto parts overnighted me some new turn signal lights so my project is done. I replaced all the bulbs in my headlights.

Thanks, Blackgtbeauty. Well, they aren't really rainbow but they flash amber/orange just as the stock ones do. Personally, I think they are a little brighter. For mine, I had to get 2 different packs, one was the 1157 ST and one was the 1156.
