I have an 02 OBW. The illumination for the time/OS temp lcd display at the bottom of my tach is out. Is this just a bulb gone out or are lcd displays illuminated differently? Don't want to pull out the whole cluster to find out the whole thing needs to be replaced....

This happened when I bought my 03 L. Its just a single bulb. You can take it to an autostore, and they might have it. My autozone did. However, I decided to go LED just days later. If you were to do that, I'd get them at superbrightleds.com. That's where I got mine. This is the bulb:

I actually changed all of my lights to Blue LEDs. They last longer and look nicer than regular light bulbs.
You can get more info on that at this link:

More info than you requested, but that's ok.

If you want a more nighttime friendly color, go with red, but yeah superbrightleds.com is a great site.

Even the LED green is a noticeably better look than the stock lights. You really can't go wrong whichever color you choose.

Thanks guys......good to know it's just a bulb. I like the idea of the led's. Probably a good idea to change all the bulbs at the same time.....cuz you know how it goes....change 1 and then another will go as soon as its all back together!!! :smt022

And LEDs tend to be a little brighter (depending on what you get) - you would get uneven lighting with the incandescent and LEDs mixed.
