The heater core on my old 96 BD went out all of a sudden- spewing coolant on the front driver and passenger foot areas.
I located a legacy at the junkyard with a matching heater core, and today I went to work pulling the dash. Didn't really find any good how to's except for one on beergarage.com (funny site btw). Course I didn't have access to it at the junkyard, but I still managed to get the dash out.
Under the dash is the a/c and heater "suitcases" secured behind the dash beam. I need to unbolt the beam before I can grab the heater core, but secured to the bottom of thhe beam is an air bag control module screwed in with torx security screws.
Don't have any of those, but does anyone know the size needed so I can buy just the individual socket and not a kit?
