Anyone know if a JDM hood (with scoop I think) will direct bolt on to a North American GT wagon? Maybe a new grill? Does anyone have one? Any links to suppliers (like JDMparts.com)?

should bolt on, though there may be some questions with regard to the fenders lining up.

The BE's had more subtle revisions than the BD's did...

Wouldn't it be easier to get the Baja hood? That thing will bolt right up.

Definetly just get the Baja hood... its only about $340 and you have no fitment worries as long at you get one prior to the 2005 model year. The JDM hoods have had many revisions and would be very difficult to find one that would fit, plus the shipping would be horrendous. I just ordered a CF hood from Erebuni out of California and that was $100 shipping. Imagine that coming from Japan, plus its heavier.

Thanks guys. So the Baja hood is a direct bolt on huh? I didn't know there was a Baja turbo. I don't know anything about the Baja - I think they only made them here in Canada for a few years. What year is this Baja of which you speak? I will have to look into it.

They never had a Baja Turbo in Canada. Probably why you've never heard of it. You'd have to order one from a dealer in the US and have it shipped up.

Good to know. I will have to try to source a US Baja turbo hood (eBay).

Yes, the Legacy and Baja are built from the same base...

I THINK they were first made in 2003, but for sure in 2004. The Baja's front end was changed for the 2005 model so that will not work. So to be safe, look for a 2004 Baja Turbo hood. You can order one direct from a US dealer for approx. $340 US dollars. I have no idea what they would charge for shipping, but you could always drive if you are close enough to pick it up.

Thanks - I may have to look into that later, when I free up some funds. Its an extra cost I don't need, but after owning a 2002 WRX and a 2004 STi, I have gotten use to having a hood scoop 8) .

Well, according to www.cars101.com (http://www.cars101.com), the Baja started in 2003, went turbo in 2004, and has not undergone any major changes since its conception (you learn something new everyday). Unfortunately there was never a titanium Baja offered, so I would need a repaint of any hood I find. Thanks guys for your help.

Thanks for trying... but this gentleman has a BH Legacy, that hood is for a BD. It will not fit his car...
