What is my 4eat missing?

Looking under the car and thinking to replace the tranny mount with a rallytech upgrade and come to find this.... What am I missing?

There's a large rubber washer that goes on that long bolt. It doesn't get tight. My guess is it's there to limit pitching of the mount.

I would like to know that too, besides the worn out rubber, is it supposed to be that far away from the mount itself or is the worn rubber supposed to fill the void?

There is a gap between the washer and the crossmember, from memory probably about 1/2" - 3/4"??

Well I will just replace my nasty washer when I do the tranny mount. My gosh it just doesn't look right having a gap.

Keep in mind that in any forward gear, the drivetrain will be forcing the rear of the trans down, so the gap doesn't really matter.
