Im very broken with the hellaflush scene. I like some, and some are just awful. So its a pick and choose thing with me.

Lower it a good inch or 2. And it would be perfect.

No matter what you did... the wheels and tire combo is Euro and freaking ugly! Do it to a VW, NOT a Subaru!

"Ugliness" will forever be a matter of opinion. I'd take any of these setups (including the one in the link) any day. Nothing really Euro about the setup either. Tire stretching isn't Euro specific. And the rims are definately JDM (knock off Rotas but point remains the same). The way one modifies a car, shouldn't be country or brand specific.
Similar specs....

^---
Wide is good
Altho almost anything with a dish looks lovely lowered, The 1 in the CL ad isn't and has concave wheels.
IMO, I don't think it pulls it off well at that height. I took this of a local Scoob:

Ya that white one looks like garbage. However, dropped with a few degrees of camber. And it would be the same as the blue ones above. Don't get wide wheels with stretched rubber if you're not going to stance it properly.

I must be a completely different type of person then. I hate the look of stretched tires, unless it's maybe a VIP car.
On a performance car, it's pointless. If you pitched that into a hard corner, a Geo Metro could out handle it! I guess I only like well done effective mods...
This right here is a nice wheel and tire combo with performance in mind... WITH NO TIRE STRETCHING!

^--- Those are stretched. Although a minor stretch, but still stretched. "POKE" is what tends to bother me. Too much poke (wheel lips protruding more than the sidewall itself) is what looks wrong IMO. An overstretched tire, usually means there's going to be some serious poke...
I had to rework the entire inner wall structure on my E36, just to be able to run 245's on a 9.5 wheel. Not too many people want to spend the time (or $) to do it right, but would rather curb their wheel or destroy their bearings to have a certain wheel... :smt017

Ehh.. Alright, I looked at them again and your right, but it's small! You could still mount them with a tire machine easy...
I guess what I dont like is if you hit a hard corner and your side wall hits the pavement. haha... I guess its a show car thing, or maybe I'm too old... haha
example of how the wheels look when the car is lowered :

Okay, this topic is way off title. Should I start a STANCE: Stretch vs. Poke thread?
