I swapped a EJ205 motor out of a 2002 wrx into my 98 legacy gt wagon. It's overheating when I run at higher rpm on boost. I'm currently running the old legacy radiator which has god know how many miles on it and has some gunk in it. I'm guessing that it's partially clogged so at high pressure/heat, it's backing up and the engine is overheating.

I'd like to replace it with a high quality radiator that will handle the cooling duties of a modded ej205. I looked on ebay and found 2 row aluminum radiators for 1st generation and 4th generation legacies, but no 3rd gen. Does anyone know where I can get a good radiator for my car from?

well, first off, you have a 2nd gen Legacy. Why not find a good used replacement for the same year?

brain fart.... I have a second gen legacy. The cost of a radiator for a 2.5 gt from Advance auto is about $130. The price of performance 2 row aluminum radiators for 1st and 3rd gen legacies on egay is about the same. I just can't find one for a second gen legacy. Was wondering if anyone knew a manufacturer that made one.

Assuming you have installed the turbo coolant reservoir (not the overflow reservoir), but I'm wondering where do you have the small line going from the radiator to the reservoir? I know some guys gut the spring from the cap and use the overflow tube to run to the turbo reservoir. A stock 2nd gen radiator should be enough cooling, but I put in a 1st gen Koyo in my BD, needed some work to get it in there and slim fans but not too bad.
