I installed a Tribeca Front Sway Bar on my BD. For some reason the passenger side hits the tie rod when I am turning. But the driver side has a lot of clearance. I can't figure out why. I used 25mm energy suspension bushings with the stock brackets. Shaved the outter edge of the bushings so they did fit in the stock bracket.

I can really tell its hitting when the suspension is fully loaded through a corner. I hear a loud pop from the nut on the outter tie rod hitting the bar.

Running stock end links. Anyone else having this issue?

I found that the Tribeca bar tends to slid back and forth in it's mounts. I remedied this by putting a couple hose clamps on either side of both bushings. It is ghetto and temporary, but it works.

How would it sliding back and forth cause it to hit the tie rod when turning or when the suspension is fully loaded

Its probably because you shaved the bushing so like anothernord is saying it slides side to side. More so on the passenger side cause it can't grip it. Your energy suspension bushing didn't come with a bracket? I used the bracket that came with the bushing instead of the stock and it bolted up fine. The only time i hit the tie rod is when i do a full steering turn. It hits barely and thats with a 18x9.5 +20 wheels

I found out the hard way too using an Outback front sway bar. The 2.2L and 2.5L cars use different brackets on the front sway bar.

Thats the bracket it comes with. It looks like it won't fit but the trick is to just barely thread one of the nut so you can thread the other side. Then tighten them up evenly

ooops didn't look at the pic right. so it looks like you only got one place to bolt it

so might need the 2.5 bracket then. Unless you have a welder to weld a stud on the other side

The 2.5 bushing bracket or the 2.5 mounting bracket? (I think they are removable).

And weld a stud? It's not a stud. It's a threaded bolt hole. No studs.

Baddog - can you show us how you've installed the bar, relative to the endlinks on each side?

Does someone have pics of the 2.2 and 2.5 sway bar mounts?

The bar was mounted on the outside of the end links. I will try and get some pictures tomorrow. Anything specific you need to see?

Not the end link points. I want to see the difference is with the mounting point where you guys have the energy bushings.

Not the best picture. It only bolts up in the front and has a tab like the rear sway bar mounts.

So are you guys cutting one side of the ES bushing to fit? What's the difference of the 22 mount vs the 25?

Mine uses a stud and a bolt. You can weld a stud or a nut to hold the other side.

Here is a pic (98 2.5gt)

Are the mounting brackets removable? Cause if so I would just find 2.5 GT ones and swap it.

I know you can remove the rears.

swaybar is backward/upside down. it's supposed to loop under the tie rod.

Yeah the stock one. The Tribeca one goes up and over.

looks like its welded on the subframe. You can drill a hole on where you mount the bracket and bend the energy suspension bracket to the contour of where you mount it. Then just use a bolt and nut to secure it in place
