Help ! 98 99 LGT, which year has black dash, interior, etc ?

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum, and I am in the process of parting out my 98 GC and planning to get either 98 or 99 LGT, but I have few questions.

98 99 LGT, which year has black dash, carpet, door card, all the interior plastic trim, etc ?

Does rear seat fold down for snowboard, etc ? I think both 98 and 99 has center armrest right ?

How much is average price for 98-99 LGT white 5 speed, with perfect body condition (absolutely no accident) go for ?

I dont know if any of them had black carpet. The limited had pleather seats and door cards though. Its not difficult to replace the fabric on the door car anyway.

My 98 rear seats fold down 60/40 IIRC, no center armrest though.

I think door card and carpet is fine, easy to replace, or I can buy subaru black rubber or carpet.

Only one thing I am concerned is the dash and the trim pieces. I must get black one, cuz i plan to use my TSX seat from my GC. I don't think grey look good with beige. Besides grey looks kind of old in my opinion.

So the rear does fold down right ? I can at least put two snowboards with binding ? What does 60/40 IIRC mean ?

No center armrest ? I thought I have seen those on ebay ???

IIRC = if i remember correctly....

60/40 back seat means 60% / 40 % either folds down or is fixed...I can't remember which percent opens up or is fixed.

As far as prices go, for a mint, low mileage 98-99 GT 5spd, you can expect upwards of $9k for a starting price but Kelley Blue Book, I believe, is around $7700 for a mint 99.

A good condition LegGT 5spd is rare in the PacNW and the dealers I talked to when I was looking were pricing high, hoping ppl like us would fork out big cash.

I just bought mine from a woman in Texas and then had it shipped to me. Shipping was expensive, but I got such a great deal it was worth it. Look around and be patient and I'm sure you'll find a good deal on one.

Also..the 97 is the same body style as 98&99 and you'll bne able to get better prices on it....

If 98 does have black interior, that will save me a lot of trouble finding 99, which is so rare.

as far as costs, i picked mine up for 6200 and spent 950 on shipping. Sounds like a lot, but it's in awesome shape and would've cost me nearly the shipping price to fly to tx,gas $$ back, hotel room for 2nights, food, etc.....so it was worth it just to have it show up. Plus its kinda cool to have a semi parked out in front of your house unloading your ride.

Leg's have been a favorite of mine for a long time and would've paid a pretty penny for it, but luckily didn't have to sell my soul for it...

Cool. 97 does have black dash, so I can also look for 97-98-99 LGT, just need to have leather option. I think its limited right ?

Cool, auspex just told me his 97 has black dash, but he has leather option though.

Now I know 98 also have black dash. I can start looking for one. Hopefully I will be able to find a nice body condition one.

Are you on Nasioc ?

Its so hard to get used to black forum. Nasioc is like blue and white. My eyes gets tired just by looking at it, but its a great community, you can expect me to get addicted as soon as I get my LGT.

My interior is stock, except for the seat. They are from 05 Acura TSX.

What's wrong with them ?

STI interior is nice, but I am hoping to either buy 05 LGT or get LGT interior swap. I found a guy selling 05 LGT Dash with center consoel and cluster and passenger airbag, AC, radio, etc for 650 plus shipping. Man, i should've taken it. Oh well........

I've only ever seen one BD/BG legacy without a black/grey interior, and I believe it was a 95. I get the feeling they discontinued beige interiors after 95 or 96. I was kind of shocked when I saw it. I've never seen pictures of one online though.

hey blackgtbeauty is that steering wheel from a WRX and does it bolt right on any modifications needed? also just to let you know the in-dash 6 CD changer from WRX bolts right in no problem an easy swap.

It's a jdm v.6 sti wheel, and yeah it bolts in. all i lost was cruise control, but i never used it anyway.
