information on WRX swap

Hi guys, I've just installed a WRX engine and tranny in my 97 Leagacy GT. Ever since I've got it back from the swap,I always have this little smell of antifreeze, and I always have to refill my reserve of antifreeze.

The shop that did the swap kept my hold radiator in place and by doing so, kept the hold radiator cap but remove the spring in it so I don't have two caps.

I would like to know, if any of you guys encounter the same problem when you swapped, and if I had, for exemple, two 10 pound radiator cap in place, would it give a pressure of 20 pound in the antifreeze system, or it would keep a 10 pound pressure.

I have no idea - but regardless, you're leaking coolant and that's not a good thing.

I have found the leaking coolant, it came from the thermostat, one of the two bolt was missing on the housing :shock:

A couple of things were forgotten. I suppose it's normale, but not things that can actually destroye my new engine.

Well the good thing is that I have a WRX in my Legacy GT 97, a real sleeper... :twisted:

It would be quick and reliable with an H6, though. ^_^;

The H6 isn't any more reliable than a turbo. Leaks a lot of oil too...
