Hello Sl-i community! My name is Tim and I live in Denver Colorado. A couple of years ago I bought a 96 BD for 500 bucks, the thing was a real eye sore but ran like a champ. I threw in some speakers and stereo and drove it for just under two years and 55,000 miles until I Sold it for 400. I then bought a 98 LGT with an automatic transmission 135,000 miles (I looked for months for a 5spd but this was the best deal I found) . Purchased it from a subaru mechanic. Car had 0 Miles on new timing belt, head gasket, water pump, and front brakes. I have been loving it every moment that I have had it. Trying to get a lot of little things changed up to the way I want them. And on to the pictures.....

SRI...Was going to do CAI but with winter here I am going to hold off. I do need opinions on what type of intake I should use. I have been reading all the threads about this and it seems that most people are doing the ebay type intake with a cone filter but I have heard a hybrid intake is better (leaving stock filter box and snorkus) Opinions???

Long off future plans (hopefully within the next 12-18 months)

STI Motor swap
6sp swap
Rims
Brakes
Coilovers
Sway bars
JDM Headlights, Fogs, and Tails
JDM Bumpers
And the number of other things that go along with the above
Dynamat sound deadening to trunk and doors
Sub install (2 12" JL audio W6's waiting )

Nice green legacy, I have that same CD player as well.
I personally like the hybrid intake the best. I had a weapon R dragon intake for a couple years and the sound it made just got annoying. The hybrid intake still sounds beefy but in a good way, and with the hybrid you're getting colder air from the front of the car not like the SRI. I've also learned that you don't really need a cone filter unless you're pushing around 400hp.

I might be in the Denver area around the holidays, if that happens we should meet up! lol

Yes i know the bumper needs painting and unfortunately a little fiber glass work as well. I am waiting for a buddy to come home that is stationed in Japan. I'm hoping I can have him ship me JMD headlights, fogs, and bumper.

I'm excited to see there a few local members! Are there any local meetups, clubs, etc.?
