I did a custom catback exhaust set up on my 95 BD LSI sedan a few months after I got it so were talking about a at least three years ago and at the time I was kind of starting out in the car scene so not really thinking about it added a can muffler and its been my muffler ever since. Now I'm more mature and know what I want from my car so I really want to change out the muffler. I want to still have my exhaust sound because I love the sound of a subie but want a cool muffler that would fit snug with the car that also has a tip that it as well will fit snug with the cut out that was made on the bumper. Id like to know some brands or even links to performance like mufflers, even wouldn't mind one that looks stock but really isn't.

What's important to you? Tone, flow (performance), legality, etc.

I like Vibrant, magnaflow, and if you can, grab a cherry bomb resonator (flowmaster, I think?)

If you get a high flow cat, a cherry bomb muffler, and an OEM sti/wrx exhaust can I think you would be very happy with the results. No drone, but with a heavily muted aggressive tone. This assumes UEL headers as well.

I have always liked my Borla turbo mufflers. They seem much more quiet than most, even with a high flow cat and no resonator. The muffler on my car now is one that Borla used to offer with the tip included, and its a little louder and has more drone. Dad still has the Borla muffler on his car that I installed before I sold it to him...next time I'm over there, I will try to take a video.

Love borla or magnaflow. Look great and sound deep with a nice WOT tone.

As long as my car will still sound like a subie :smt020

Also the stock little rounded space on the bumper for where the muffler tip would be, is that wide enough to fit a dual tip muffler?

You can buy the Borla Turbo mufflers as just the muffler. They cost around $100 from Summit Racing, but they are all stainless and worth it, IMO. You can add whatever tip you want...summit carries plenty of stainless tips in all shapes and sizes for cheap as well.

Badass It sounds good and almost like mine, just a little softer sounding then mine, but nice thats what ill get then. I've been needing pics of the mufflers I've been seeing on the car its self becasue having to guess how it will look and fit is pretty annoying so that helped big time plus I love how it made it sound alittle better to. :]

Also whats the exact muffler you got called? and how big is the tip of it?
