I have got my 17x7.5 Rota Tarmac II winter rims from my STi that are going on my 2002 Legacy GT wagon, and I am thinking about clearance issues with 225/45/17 tires. Anyone running with this size rims/tires? Any clearance issues? I know tirerack sugests 205/50/17, but I would like to go wider. Any input?

I dont know if you need to drop to a 205. My car is lowered also so the 215 should work

215/45R17 should be fine, the BE/H has more room than the BD/G and I was running that size on 17x7et55 rims with no problems.
Your rotas are probably +48 so you may be a little closer to the fender, but that just means you can run a little more camber ;)

I will just have to put the Rotas on the car with the 225/45/17 winters on them to see if there is any clearance issues before I go out and buy some FK451's. Thanks guys.
