Running rich with black smoke

Hi all, when I started my legacy twin turbo up today it started blowing black smoke and it was not letting you rev it but after trying for abit I did get it to rev up a few times I have tryed another AFM but no change and help would be great.

What do you mean rev? Codes? Year? EJ20H or R?

rev = increasing rpms.

I have a feeling the user is from Australia or NZ.
