I was looking for something to make in metalshop so i was reading(looking at pictures) in my Dsport magazine and I came across the tow hooks. I looked up how much they cost and looked for a cheaper alternative. so i got some 1/4" steel plate and used that. it is my no means to be used as a funtional towing apparatus...it is only aesthetic and please keep in mind that i am in no means(as you will see) very good at doing stuff with metal.

Materials
-------------------------------
-1/4" steel plate
-Oxyacetylene torch(if available)
-Grinder
-Sandblaster(optional)
-paint
-drill
-vice
-file

Procedure
------------------------------------
i first made a template

I would recommend getting some better bolts/washers for that. It really looks like that could come loose and jiggle with a wrong move.

Did you use a grade 8 bolt?
