Hey folks.
I need to fix some holes in my dash that are a result of car phone mounting (stupid I know).
What i've done so far is to fill the holes with some kinda epoxy glue and scrub it with sand paper to match the surface.
Now my question is what kind of paint i need to match the one on my dash, and where can i buy it ?
It's a stock EUDM or JDM BD, i realt don't know :-? .

I doubt your going to be able to find a paint thats the same color. If you do find one.. I doubt anyone here has the code. Your best bet may be to use 'plasti-dip' spray can, but I don't know if the color will match at all.

Now you depressed me. :-( Any other ideas ?

Could be a good time to flock the dash!

I don't know about where you live, but I've seen ads here in Japan for mobile car repairs... guys go around in a van and can repair small dings, especially these kind of interior plastic dings. I believe they match the paint and airbrush it. Could be worth just having a look in the yellow pages or something?

I'm from Israel and i've never heard of such thing here.
I think i'll better go and look and match the color by myself.

There is a color code for your interior color. It should also be located on the VIN plate.
Take a pic of the plate or interior, post it here. You should have 1 of 3 different colors offered, however I don't know if the EUDM/JDM's had more.

You can't match plastics though. They'll have been faded by the sun and indirect UV light, plus age.

What about this kit (http://www.ebay.com/itm/No-Heat-Professional-Leather-Vinyl-Repair-Kit-7-colors-Fix-Sofa-Seat-Jacket-AAA-/260904043046?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cbf17c226)
It says that i can match my own color.

Yes you can. Add a touch of white to the paint and :smt023 BTW, what usually fades is the protect-ant coat like the exterior. The color usually stays the same and the material of the dash itself breaks down in most cases. ^That gives the faded effect.
Just paint/spray where the damage is, then coat the entire dash with the protect-ant clearcoat that is recommended for interior parts. Remember, the spots to be painted are only spots. Therefore, blending those areas and clearing out the rest of the dash or from the top contour line down for a more stealth job.

Didn't you already repair and sanded it??? Either way, some of those kits aren't worth the box the box they were sent out in if not followed correctly, so beware and good luck.

Yes. I did already filled the holes and sanded them. just looking for the color, in the Opposedforces it's said that the color is Dark Grey.
Thank Okin :)

No problem. If it were me, I'd take off and clean/scuff the door panels and re-clear/protect them too. This way, it appears as if the entire interior is new.

Hey, I'm still learning too!
When it comes to paint, almost anything painted that is faded, is most likely failure of clear coat. Even interiors have paint codes and have their own mixing chart.

I picked up a cup holder to replace mine since the spring broke. The new cup holders were tan and my car has the black/gray dash. I used this in flat black: http://www.duplicolor.com/products/vinylFabricCoating/. I will let you know how it holds up. I did three coats and no clear since the rest of my dash isn't shinny.
Edit: just put it back in the car. It is darker than the rest of the dash. Still looks better than it when it was tan.
