car shaking, need help

ok so i got hit a while ago, hit and run, had to replace my left control arm bar and inner socket and had to replace my wheel which is still oval, rim got bent and had the rim bent back but was not able to be bent back into place. At the moment my wheel is oval, instead of circle, and the wheel wobbles a bit. My car runs fine but it starts to make a shuttering noise once i slow down when drive. i think it might be the gear box and the mechanic said it might be the rack and pinion which would cost me 900$ is this correct? should i be saving to get a new rack an pinion?? is this why my car is shaking?? it also shakes when i put it in reverse...any info is greatly appreciated!!!

I just picked up a rack and pinion for around $175 or so.

I can't tell you if that's your problem,
but have you had an alinement?
oh, if your rims still bent, thats not good.

yeah, that is first on my list, im not driving my car too hard or too much, but is that why the car is shaking?? or could the rack and pinion be the problem i should address first.? just to let you guys know, I went to Midas to get this checked and this is what they suggested, i dont want my car to shake or make noise anymore, and i truly dont want to sell is it!!

Is it only shaking the steering wheel?

Do you have pics of the damage?

if it bent the wheel odds are it bent the strut, cv axle etc.
