ive got stuff from CXracing, and they seem to get the job done.
never bought stuff from DPT motorsports but they seem decent.
i was looking at stuff like headers etc. and my thoughts are, even if it breaks...
i have a welder, and if i cant fix it, i could buy 3 headers for the price of one name brand.
now im all for spending the money for a higher quality product but in
my opinion there are cases where the cheap shit will get the job done.
example: i buy pitsburg tools. my co workers buy matco or snap on.
i spent about 1/4th of on a set of basic sockets, as they did. mine
are still in service. havent broke one yet. and when i break a tool,
ill just upgrade the one i broke.
i imagine its alot like that. some stuff i have no problem buying the
cheap shit.. besides those little 7 year old chinese kids are getting pretty good
at welding and such.

anyways. back on topic.

anyone use parts from them? these parts in particular...

So are you asking if it's a good deal or not?

I would DEFINITELY skip the rods.

Look, you can get some nice Eagle H-beam rods for about the same price:

I can't say about the other things, but the bottom line is that CX is basically just another eBay brand. They're fine for exterior stuff line intercooler piping and intakes and whatever, but internals? No.

yeah i probably wouldnt put those rods in my car, because the factory STi rods will handle 600HP. ive seen it multiple times.

Their GC8 FMIC piping kit was great, I'd definitely buy that again, especially for the price. Intercooler cores, as I'm finding, are NOT created equal. There's a comparison thread on NASIOC somewhere that a guy did between an eBay big TMIC and an STi top mount. Although there was less of a loss in pressure with the eBay TMIC, it had terrible, terrible cooling capabilities.

Looking at the CX cores, they look the same, really low fin density with large air passages. Take a look at what the inside of an OEM WRX intercooler looks like and you'll see how dense the fins are in there. Obviously you do want to balance flow with cooling capability, and a larger core gives more surface area to cool, but don't cheap on the intercooler core. Cheap out on the piping and couplers and clamps.

interesting. to be honest anything is better than what i have.. this little slanty doesnt do shit, i may as well hot pipe it... i may get an Intake air temp sensor, and experiment a bit. see if it cools better than my slanty.
