Hey, just joined after a friend told me about this forum. Currently am a huge legacy fan and have been checking out all of the sweet cars on here. Gotta say some days I get jealous man lol. Here's some pics of my baby from over a year ago early 2010 to now late 2011.

First getting my 99 Legacy GT "Rubie"

Now late 2011 been through good times and bad with her, but shes running like a dream and I've had fun.

pretty big transformation aesthetically, but not so much internally. Just a custom fabricated cold air intake, outback rear sway bar, and an Apexi catback (soon to be installed). Sound system includes a sony head unit with outback door speakers fitted with deck speakers, a two channel amp and a four channel amp, 10 inch speakers (sometimes have the 15 inch kicker bass tube "the scrambler" in for shows), and living room treble speakers for more highs when the back seats are folded down.

Its an aftermarket grill from a bugeye. Used to be mine.

It had to be modified. The bottom corners on the front had to sanded off and the mounts for the radiator support from a stock grill were added. I traded it to him for his help/space to work on my car. This is it:

See that you are already bringing something no one has ever tried to our fourm. Thanks for the info.

Hate to be a pia, but do you have any clost up pics? I could prob see myself getting this one instead of finishing my hallowed out tall grill.

I will see if he has any close up pics. I don't think he checks here often.

Thanks all :smt006 , been trying to keep her clean, but make her different

The grille is a bugeye wrx grille thats been heavily cut into and modified to fit. the roof rack is a standard walmart roof rack that I cut into and extended. I'll post some pics of the rack and the grille soon.

Plus for anyone that wonders about the impreza scoop and vents on an lgt hood, it is a pretty simple task. Just gotta cut holes in the hood (which you could just get at a junkyard for around $40). The vents have to bee rotated to fit the dip of the legacy hood and you're pretty much set :smt023 Thinking of revamping the hood and getting the scoop and vents to sit flush so I can paint the entire car gloss black (not that I don't love the black granite pearl paint lol just makes me sad to see it fade overtime :-( )
The lights are pretty much just truck fogs from a hardware store.

more pics will be up this week soon enough

This was pretty much the process on making the hood. Pretty straight forward:

Traced out where exactly I wanted the vents and cut out the holes. Left the holes just big enough to fit the inside diameter of the vent, but enough for it to clamp down onto the hood. Did the same thing for the hood scoop.

Then painted the hood flat black and the vents/hood scoop gloss black with a single layer of clear coat. Might re paint them and hit them with more layers of clear to get it to match the car color better.

you can see where I flipped the vents around to dip down instead of up like on the impreza hood. It fits okay. It's not the most flush fit , but it looks pretty cool. Definitely get a lot of clowns out there that want to race me because they see the scoop and vents... lol...
