I was looking under my car today and saw this! These are new tires i got this summer. New struts, alignment done recently i have no idea. This was happening when my old struts were on too. Are my rear brakes doind this? I have not swapped them out yet. Horrible toe or something? I am confused. Please help.

Bad toe. Little camber.

Is this both the rear tires or just the rear passenger?

Both tires have the same wear.

:smt023 I was following this when you first posted, and thought the same. I was waiting to see if it was both before I posted. Have you checked/replaced the bushings in the rear? Lateral Arms? Did any adjustments to the rearend?

No, but I am going to definately look into it. I was asking hocrest the other day "since I have wider tires would I feel like the car is hydroplaning in the heavy rain?" I guess this determins it. The alignment guys said that he could only dial in the best he can. Oh well time to get the cars ass up and see what is wrong. Its a shame I bought these tires this summer new(ish). Fronts are still very nice. Thanks guys.

Yep, bad toe. What was the printout of the last alignment?

No clue, but I am guessing the place I took it to just plain sux with aftermarket suspension parts.

If they didn't give you a printout, then they didn't do an alignment.

Pull up the specs you want to get yours aligned to before you go to another place. Have them align it and get your paperwork there after. Compare the 2. If they're not in cahoots with each other.... Punch the alignment tech in the FACE! J/K 'cause I think you'd do that too TJ.
Find a reasonable place and give them the specs. Usually, some places are cool and will still honor a warraty with their alignments and your specs. Make sure to confirm that, before handing over your keys.

Not saying this place is not good they have very expensive machines amd do great work they were jist not familiar with my suspension. I will have to look into the specs.

Your suspension isn't a big issue. It's the same basic stuff - lateral arms, camber bolts, maybe camber/caster tops. No biggie for an experienced alignment tech.

Rear tires only huh? You are showing signs of extreme negative camber. Were you the last car done on a Friday night? Looks like you were the victim of a "Toe & Go"

The only time I had wear like that was in my drift car and it was all camber. Could be toe if you car is walking or twitchy. If it drives fine, it's camber.

FYI-most places that do alignments sucks! Finding a good shop is hard! I have Red85celica do mine for me when he can get my car in at Toyota. The other place I go to is a place that deals in cars that have been wrecked.

You need to meet with the alignment mechanic one on one, buy him lunch, learn his name, and talk about what you need done/fixed; from then on, only go to him. I learned this trick and it's been a major help ever since. For instance, "is it worth the extra 25 minutes it's going to take to get this setup perfectly?... Well, he did buy me that sandwhich", etc.
