Ok so finally after working my ass off, i've gathered up enough change to get my exhaust done. Now i just need to find out which muffler i want to go with. I've decided a borla muffler, but im not sure which one i need... I know jess had one for her car, but would that be the same as the BD's? I want it too look stock and make sure it all fits up to the borla headers that are on the way..So enough of my blabbing, what borla muffler will fit?

P.S- im going with 2.25 by the way...

i'd like to know what muffler is used in the so called "Borla Catback"

it's not like borla's gonna make one just for our cars, i think it must be jsut a certin muffler with the right hangars and the right tip.

so does anyone have it and if so, are there any stampings?

this could help both of us a lot :)

all you need is a borla universal muffler (turbo, pro xs, xr-1) and have a shop do the rest... just measure the stock muffler and find pick one that has close to the same dimensions (or a bit smaller) and the same inlet/outlet layout so it'll fit.

jess is running a universal borla muffler.

i knew she was, but i wonder how the other borlas compare sound wise?

at $80 for the muffler and $40 for the tip, this sure isn't a "try it and see" project for me.

i had a borla on my ford focus and imo it was the only way to go. im in the process of saving my pennies for one to throw on my BD.

as far as buyinga muffler and tip and having someone bend the pipes, well id rather have that million mile warranty.

That would be great!!
I just traded in my '01 Focus for a '98 LGT and eventually I'd like to upgrade the exhaust, but I want to avoid anything that's going to get on my nerves while driving. Had that problem with a Bosal exhaust I originally had on the Focus.
