Got my 96 wagon a week ago today. Always had a soft spot for legacy's so happy to have one.

My first Subaru too... had loads of Hondas so fingers crossed the reliability is even half of what the Hondas were and ill be happy.

Live in Whistler, snowboard as much as i can.. and now it seems getting bits sorted on the legacy as much as i can.

New rear wiper ordered from Honda Pilot so should look slicker..
Needs a wheel bearing somewhere
Various rust spots to sort out and paint the bonnet as laquer shagged.
ABS light is on and ABS dosent work - fuses ok so i guess sensors, relay, pump faulty...Ho hum.....help?

See ya in the POW.... seems a great forum!

Welcome, Subarus can be reliable if you take care of them. I'm closing in on 280k miles, but since a new block is going in a guess I cant say that anymore :-(

Welcome to SLi.

From one Subaru Canadian to another these cars are super reliable :-D My 96' Outback is going to hit 400,000km tonight ... She's such a little champ.

I got a few buddies who spend months at time out in Whistler and Banff but none of them really want to drive their subarus from Ontario :-(

Cheers

She's only on 170k so hopefully will not let me down for a while yet!

The Hondas were Ring cars so got oil changed more than my socks and they just loved the 9k limiter :)

As for sensors ill get on that soon.. fingers crossed its a simple clean up!

Im from the UK but got a few friends here from Ontario... one dude from Sudbury i think? Im not good on that area tbh..

REASON - CRX close to my heart..always loved em..never had one tho. 3 ITRs and 1 NSX were my money pits.... oh and a shitty little track called The Nordshlieffe.... :P

I was looking to get another CRX, but all the ones I find for sale are in bad shape. I wish I kept that one, it wasn't bad at all.... and did I see NSX?

Some nice cars there!

My CRX didn't have much done besides a few bolt one but it was quick. Me and a friend would race home from work late at night on the highways. He had an imprezaTS or something, he always said that car was fast and I believed him till I smoked him every time. With huge tires and a sloppy suspension lol

Now thats some cool beans right there..

Owning a NSX then dropping down to a Legacy.. Jaded-less for sure :-D

Can't wait for you to start modding your legacy. You seem to be into clean and fresh ..

Respect.

Well id say the Legacy is my Whistler Beater!
Not clean at all but runs well so does the job ... main thing is i want to fix all the faults on it and make it even more reliable etc. No good roads round here (in my opinion) so having it dialled in is not on priority list!

The NSX was a wonderful thing, it really was. Best dampening I've ever had in a car and cockpit design/layout.
