Agreed, or a decent set of all seasons. But AWD helps you get going, not stop or keep from sliding when breaking.

oh no accidents, I have all season with at least 7/32 if not more and i had a nice 45 minute panic attack on the way to work today. If there was no one else on the road i wouldnt care snow all you want. i could care less about the snow, its the assholes that slam on there breaks at yellow lights, and I have to make magic to not slam into them.

plus for those of you who know, it was wonderful Lake effect snow, heavy wet slushy shit, that if you had 50 wheel drive with studded snow tires, the instant you try to stop or change lanes, all your tires turn into skis!!!

Here in MD I have all season on my car and on the family beater Outback and they work fine. Then again everything closes here with even a mention of the word snow....

Its just like all the people that have huge 4x4 trucks that think they can do anything in snow because they have 4 wheel drive. Then they try to stop on a dime :lol:

Dont tell me you like having ABS in snow/ice?! I pull my ABS fuse when I know there is ice around... Even more so in a AWD car!

I've been considering getting a switch that interrupts the ABS circuit because I dislike it so much. You have to be pretty attentive without ABS though so you don't lock up an go into a fast skid.

Mark speaks the truth..

I blew out a wheel sensor and my pump started vibrating when the car was off.. So i just disconnected the pump wires.. and 2 years later still no ABS.. I really should remove that bulb..

Why wont it snow sooner!!

You know, I almost drove my car into a ditch once with my ABS! You can do good controlled skids without ABS, but not with it. Even more so with an AWD car! I forgot I still had mine working in my BH this last weekend when I went to see my lady friend. I was doing some doughnuts with her kids and hit the brakes and forgot the ABS was still on! haha
