This is my 02' Legacy BH. It has almost 200k but a long life ahead. We've traveled to some really cool places up and down the east coast, and have been to the beach several times last summer. Initially, I bought the car just for the sake of having fun and learning how to mod a car. I didn't want to start anything serious because Philly isn't a car-friendly city. Since I recently moved to NJ, I've been able to actually work on the car and learn more. The ultimate goal of this thread is to build a clean and functional JDM Legacy and make some friends in the Subaru community. I have a lot to learn.
Here are a few pics from when I first bought the car.

There is no point in showing what the car looks like now. I'm constantly changing things around.
MODS:
17' OEM Subaru Wheels (USDM WRX/JDM Legacy)
Falken tires 215/45/17
Weapon R Intake
JDM tail lights and center garnish
HIDs
Pep Boys exhaust tip (The exhaust system will eventually be done properly)
Cosmetics:
Replaced the 02' grill with an 03-04
DIY painted calipers with SUBARU logo on front set
Black Subaru emblem
Cleared headlights
JDM Subaru Motors badge
Japanese License plate
Future:
A proper exhaust system
Lowered just a little
03-04 USDM front bumper/OEM fog lights
Momo steering wheel
Digital climate control
Upgraded rear wiper arm
I'm sure there will be plenty more projects along the way, but I need to start somewhere.

Black BH's look fantastic! You should definitely clay bar, ulitmate compound, and wax her to give it that mirror shine protective smoothness. I did it to mine and it made a night and day difference. Made her smooth as ice and shiny as diamonds.

Auto. I didn't like the idea of it at first but this car is powerful

Wow your car is really nice. love white BH's. I'm replacing some parts then priming the car for paint in a month. But yeah, clay bar=god. Did it earlier this year.

Here they are. Brand new. The center caps are in a separate box.
I plan on installing these in a month along with a new set of coil overs?? I want to see how they sit on the car before I make the investment. :-? https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2012/02/IMG_20120214_132101-1.jpg

Craigslist haha. I paid $225 total and he dropped it off at my house since he was in the neighborhood. Apparently he can find some cool stuff for way cheap.

Got me set of Falken Ziex ZE512s for the new wheels. Going to my friend's garage to install them tomorrow. Going to take real pics after this storm front passes us. Oh yeah, and I moved out of Philly. Worst roads/drivers/crime/parking. Thank god my car made it out alive.

Finally got around to share a photo of the wheels. A very cool upgrade I'm very happy with. Going to keep the stock springs for now since the new wheels filled out nice. My next step is JDM tails and an emblem for the front.

Eventually. My goal at the moment is to find upgraded brakes/rotors and learn how to install them. I'm doing one mod per month to keep myself from spending out of control. May will probably be when the wagon drops.

^We have NJ people too.
The main group is an almost bi-monthly meet. We have an over 100 member strong group on Facebook. We have a mini group set up to do a monthly meet (last friday of every month till September) at an awesome little food joint in Hanover, PA called Tropical Treats.
----Now sorta to get it all back on topic----
Looks great! There is something about these dark color BHs that I like...
Are you going to do the SLi Meet-up in Danville later this year?

Thanks to Hansvonaxion for the tail lights and center garnish. Installation was super easy, the reverse lights are brighter and it's a great mod. I'm debating on removing the grenades and going for something a little more "grown up". Feedback?

Just wanted to keep ya updated as this build continues. I decided to sell the Bilsteins (made profit too!) since I found a USDM BH on here and noticed they were much higher in the front. So I purchased a 03-04 USDM front bumper and the projector fogs to go with. I'm keeping them in storage until I find a hood with a scoop and will professionally respray the car a deep black. I'm a fan of the factory paint with the metallic flake, but this paint has seen better days. Oh and since Brembos are costly, I'm painting my calipers red today and hand-drawing Subaru on the calipers. Ricer status? Please say I'm not.

For the calipers?I'm creating a Subaru template on Adobe Illustrator right now. I plan on using a flat paint brush to trace over the cut-out and create a smooth and raised high-quality finish. The calipers are coming off and it's being done properly. I'm probably going to make a proper DIY of this. (if nobody made one yet)

Ok so I'm probably going to get laughs for painting them, but I don't have a Brembo budget right now. I think they turned out pretty well for never doing this before and I had fun doing it. Scrubbed down the rotors with a wire brush and some warm water to remove the orange color.

Did you do the fronts too? I can't see where you could fit a graphic on there.
Subaru 4 pots are much cheaper than Brembos and a very good improvement, but you probably already knew that. You only really need to do the fronts.

I'm doing the front calipers today because it rained yesterday. It takes a while to remove/clean/dry/mask them so time was a factor. You're right =/ Stock front calipers are the only ones I can apply it to. I've always wanted the 4 pots but so much $$. Sucks

Brembo cost more than 4 pots. You can get a set of brand new 4 pots for less than the cost of used Brembos...

Just some updates on whats been going on with the car. I switched front bumper for an updated 03-04 usdm front and purchased blue silverstar corner lights. If all goes well, I should be ordering a baja hood and prep the car for a fresh paint job very soon.
I really like these Silverstar bulbs. I'd like to remove the lenses and give them a good cleaning on both sides. There is some moisture getting into the headlights from the side marker removal and it's hazy no matter what.

I'd rather not have the front driver and passenger side tinted. It's much safer at intersections if I need to wave someone to cross. Some people here shouldn't have a license so I'd like to be extra careful. Oh and it looks better to me.

Welp, I moved back to the good ol mountains of Wilkes-Barre PA for school. No updates on the car except for a legit Japanese license plate but no biggie. There was really no point in doing any more work to the car since Philly parking is a nightmare and everyone slams into the front/rear bumpers while "parking". My car was jumped on by filthy city kids, I've walked out to see the car covered in soap :smt013 Needless to say, it's great to be back here where the wagon is safe. We got a few inches of snow yesterday and I finally got the Legacy sideways in a parking lot for the first time. There are so many nice Subarus here and it's just great to be back. More updates to come since I can have nice things again haha
