I found this article on nasioc that talked about a "power mode" on the 90s 4eat trans. Has anyone ever done this, and if so what is involved in developing a switch to turn the mode on or off.

here's the link: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2081503

People who have done it (read: not me) have reported that their automatics are much more fun to drive, and specifically mentioned that there is no noticeable reduction in fuel efficiency. The only thing you have to do is to create a fused link between connectors on the TCU.

Well if someone can get me a pinout of the 98 and older legacy phase1 and my newer phase2 99 legacy I might try it out as the phase1 has 3 plugs on the tcu and mine has 2 plugs.

I read on rs25 a guy did it on a phase 2 by grounding pin 20 on the white connector.

Dang, can someone move the linked thread to the DIY forum? I think it would be super beneficial.

ah, I misread anothernord's post - I thought he meant this thread, purely for the link to rs25.com.

The linked thread is now moved to the DIY forums.
