Just bought and i love this thing. First time Subaru owner and I like it so far. It has 204k, bought it for $1400, and it runs flawlessly. I plan to just get wheels, coilovers, and paint it. This wagon will be just to get to work in. Will load up some pictures of it tomorrow. For now enjoy my other toy....

httrdd. Thats an FD.
Welcome to the board swagondanny. Later on, make sure you make a Legacy thread in Members Ride 1 (also browse it for some ideas). Also, Make a Members Ride 2 thread about that FD. It looks awesome!

Welcome.
I'll hold my applause and wait to see if it's a true FD. Sorry for my lack of enthusiasm as I've seen alot go downhill with LS swaps.
Again, welcome.

I really want to start modding this outback. I need a good setup for daily driving status. Im thinking coilovers since i plan to go pretty low. Wouldnt mind a shock spring set up as well as long as it rides good

I got to start doing some searching on what coilovers fit best for my application. Plan is to run a 17x9.5ish wheel with a +20 offset. Im also throw out the idea of s13 fender flares to fix the rust area's on the rear wheel arches.

Nice more flare ideas. Wonder if they will fit? Glad you are a out of the box modder. Something tells me you are not going to be able to resist modding the crap out of your Subaru.

lol I think swagondanny is going to be the next guy next to scraped crusaders thats going to be doing stuff that I like or would do to a subie. :smt023
Yeah Idk much about 3rd gen and whats offered for them but Id think you would be able to get some Tien coilovers for it atlest. Maybe even some K-sports or D2's.

Ok... Whew..... Never been a fan of the LSx etc... swaps. Yes, I'm 1 of the few that believes that they are rare and should be kept to it's roots. Not ashamed to say it either. Everyone and their mother keeps suggesting I put an LS? in my car. F*** THAT! If I wanted an LS1 or whatever, I'd buy a Vette.
Congrats on the Legacy purchase, and the FD.

Im really trying to resist looking at other wagon, so I dont get any overly done ideas. Coilovers first then the rest later.
Would also love to change my front bumper to something else

Welcome!
I have fond memories of playing "tag" with a heavily modded FD back in New Zealand. For 100 kms we hauled through mountain ranges and valleys, he could have easily outpaced my lowly Impreza wagon but I think he was enjoying it just as much. It was black also, with bright white wheels and a twin exhaust.

Im guessing any second gen front bumper and side skirts from a legacy sedan will work. I have lots to learn. My front bumper is jacked up and I don't really like the big fog lights up front. I want something oem

So, I'm guessing you drive an Outback then. Start a member's ride thread for some Pics?
