I figured I'd make a thread for my Legacy daily driver.

To make a long story short (sort of), when I was a kid my parents took me to visit my aunt in Western Massachusetts. Any local New Englander will know that old yankees love their Subaru wagons. I remember being into cars back then, and seeing this cool green station wagon for the first time. The first thing I noticed was that it had a hood scoop. I was in love.

Over the years I became a Subaru fanatic. My stepmother used to rallycross and I remember lusting over the blue and yellow Subaru WRC cars. When the WRX came to the states, I bought one, and over the years turned it into my version of a Prodrive UK300.

I became a dad in February, and immediately realized that my WRX simply wouldn't cut it anymore. That car became my weekend car. So I went out and bought myself a daddy-mobile. The Subaru that started it all. A wagon, in green, with a hood scoop!

I bought the car bone stock. Over the next few months, the car transformed into what it is today. I had a body shop fix the rotted quarter panels. I went with the JDM exterior bits, and when a WRX donor car fell on my lap, I decided to make the hood scoop functional.

I'll be sure to update this with more pictures soon. I have a set of JDM amber side markers that I'd like to install. I'll be doing some maintenance stuff in the coming weeks, as well as a catless up-pipe. I'm also on the lookout for a set of black JDM flush mount bump strips and some unpainted mud guards.

Sweet! Is this the same car that I commented on over in the legacy gallery on nasioc? If I remember right I was wondering what suspension you had...

We have the same suspension. 04 Wrx struts and Eibach springs here.

Navi271- yup thats me, same username over on NASIOC. I had been using Espelir GT springs, but the rates were too damned high. So I switched over to the Eibach setup, which is better, but still a little too much for a daily driver. The roads around here are garbage and I'm considering going with a set of OEM WRX wagon springs, or back to stock LGT. Or maybe I'm just getting old.

Okin- I believe it. I've been on that road a few times with this car recently. You from the area?

httrd- The Eibach springs do give the car a nice stance. Also, your car is so badass. I would have loved an H6 swap, but I got the 205 motor basically for free.
