Really Lucked out on this one!

So I noticed a small exhaust leak sound from the front end today. ONLY to my suprise when I looked to inspectigate, I was missing 2 header studs from one side, and 1 from the other. my heart dropped,, I thought they had snapped off. NOPE they some how just were not there. Got some stainless bolts, nuts and lock washers and BOOM no more exhaust leak. I also replaced the gaskets while i was there.

Man I am so glad they were not snapped off. I was not looking forward to drilling them out and tapping new holes...

Its always the little thing that become a pia. I had to drill out a stud like that. What a pain!

I love it when the solution is much easier than replacing something big!

A little tip when using stainless steel, put some copper grease or similar on the treads. They have a nasty habit of shearing the treads.
I expirience it alot at work with stainless hydraulic couplings and bolts when some asshat didnt do it...

But good news it was only missing bolts, it's a real pain to drill them out :smt013
