glass guy f'ed up my car (update)

:smt013 :smt013 :smt013 so I go outside with my kids after the glass guy finished my new windsheild and OMG the only thing he didnt fuck up was the glass itself! :smt013 the dash is all ripped up from what looks like the corner of the ws (windshield as I'm super pissed and dont want to write it a bunch) and the edge trim with I got off one of the 2 parts cars I bought to get this thing up to a good condition for a monkey each (500 quid)! and the Burke didnt even clean up all the glass, and the cover around the wipers and vents doesnt fit any more! hold on the manager guy is hear to "inspect"

got done with a very humble manager of this nationally known auto glass repair van squadron, I am going to a repair shop for new glass (again) new trim peices all around the window and to top the tater a brand new factory dash all paid for buy the red van squadron, and to sprinkle bacon bits on all that I got the start of what sounded to be a quite long and LOUD ass chewing on the cell as the guy was leaving, maybe I should bring that careless moron the classifieds tomorow :smt005 hurrah for new parts! :smt023

well the estimate for the dash was $381 + 4 hours of work @ $58hr, I'm going to get some gray and black alcantara and cover the dash like I've wanted to for a while, gona do the door cards and headliner and pillars as well, as for the trim pieces I'd rather get "real" trim from a junker in good nick than use the crap plastic stuff they make now. and as I'll be painting it in the spring I'll get the prep stuff I'm gona need and a case or 2 of satin titanium rattle cans and a black truckbed liner kit. :smt023, just need a STi 6spd & diff, and a new steering rack and EVERY part on this thing will have been replaced or fixed under my ownership.

I would need to see that to believe it! You have to pull the harness off the dash as well. its a PITA to get a 2nd gen dash out! Now give me an S13 and I can change that in a lunch brake! :smt005

So, Update: Over a month later, I still don't have the check! :smt013 First the check was sent with the wrong name and was not delivered. Called them to check on it and was told the name was corrected and reverified the address and could expect the correct check in a number of days, this happened to me TWICE. Waited a couple days, called back to verify it was sent out and was told it was sent to my address with my name on it and that it was in the mail already. Waited a bunch more days AGAIN and called only to find out that nothing was ever corrected and that the check was still being issued with the wrong name on it!!! WTF?! So, just yesterday I called the company because they didn't call me like they said they would...and I was told they'd be overnighting a check to me that I could expect tomorrow AM. I didn't have a tracking number but attempted to call the shipping company this afternoon to track my package which was to be sent out this AM, only to find out that the shipping company had no record of a package coming to my address. OF COURSE! :smt013
Now, once again I called the glass company was told I'd get a call back in a couple of minutes...waited an hour and called them only to find out they still had to check on it and would call me back in two minutes. About 5 minutes later, I got a call back from "Executive Services Department" saying that it was never sent out today because the worker didn't do it (naturally) and that I can expect it Thursday AM now as it'll be overnighted tomorrow. :smt013 :smt013
After asking for a tracking number, I was told they don't have one yet and that they'll be emailing it to me.
First of all, yeah right. Second of all, how is this a professional company. Everyone from the local office to the corporate office are a bunch of morons!
I just don't get it. We'll just see if I even get an email with that tracking number...Anyone want to place bets on how long I'm on hold tomorrow repeating what I went through today? :smt013
but in the mean while I have a busted up dash and broken trim oh and the windshield is leaking on the dash lets see how long it takes for an electrical short to fry the ECU.

I'm going to wait till the check comes tomorrow (if it does) then get another estimate for water damage and this time I will be going through my insurance company so I will get my money rite away., I got the manager at the place telling me he will come out to my garage and pull the window for me so I can work on the dash then when I'm done he will be putting it back in all for free, which means another guarantee of work on the windshield. :roll: I guess thats good as its just more money for me and my family but it just feels wrong, like those crazy parents that get their kids sick just to get money from false malpractice. :smt009 oh well, I wonder what an estimate would be for carpeting, door panels, ECU, and all that labor? and I only paid a monkey for it ($500) so...

I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old and I have gone there twice with them:smt010 heartless bastards couldent do anything, apparently they dont have checks at the office? :smt017 they couldent fax one or anything. Small claims court then. You'll have a judgement rendered on them and they will be obliged to pay (they may not, in which case you can get the police involved at that point). Double whammy, produce the judgement to the BBB.
