Aftermarket scoop for BG/BD?

Ok, I saw one yesterday when I was driving a friend to the SEA-TAC (seattle) airport and saw a White BD with a bad ass mother frickin scoop! Also had a aftermarket grill, lowered and looked to have some mild exhaust. Alaska plates on in and a white dude driving. Had some different wheels also...

I wish I could have got a pic of it, but he was coming at me at 30mph... It took up about the whole center section of the back half of the hood. I'm thinking it's a fiberglass one. Anyone know anything about it?! If I saw a pic, I know what it looks like in my head! Anyone have a clue what I'm talking about???? :smt017

Prob just something custom. Search Wrx and Sti scoops to see which one you are talking about. Wish you got a pic!

to do a custom one on the GT BD/BG, you have to cut bigger than the actual scoop - it's molded into the hood, the metal itself IS the scoop.

It would be easier to add a Subaru type scoop to a Brighton/L/LSi (non-scooped) hood.

I recently grafted 1 of these onto an Impreza hood:

It was from a ??04?? Mustang IIRC and wider than the OEM 1 that the owner brought with a hood he got from a WRX. I'm not suggesting you do the same, but is it wide like this?

No, this is NOT a WRX, STi, or any other scoop. This is something I have never seen and looks bad ass! The base of it covers the complete center of the hood, from both ridge lines in. Then covers a little more then half just forward of the of the center of the hood to the rear, and has a low profile scoop. Totally looks like something from Japan. Tomy Kira (spelling) or Hippy Sleek. Something like that. Crazy looking, yet subtle..

I want it!

I'll try and draw it out of something... One of you guys that knows JDM aftermarket might know off the top of your head...

I thought it was bigger, but that might be right... It did have a split if I remember right.
