Hello Guys
I couldn't find the answer to this question:
What's the maximum depth that i can use without spacers in the front doors of a BD ?
I was looking at these speakers http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4DyekySoaLQ/p_575R1653/Rockford-Fosgate-Prime-R1653.html#overview-tab they are 2 3/8"
what do you think ?

My Polk audio speakers measure up at 2 5/16ths (just a hair shallower) and they fit fine. I would think you'd be OK. Crutchfield is pretty good about not letting you see stuff that won't fit in your car, but I could complain that their Legacy database is a little incomplete. They claim you can't mount a double DIN stereo, which you can.

Mark, the thing is that they say that these speakers won't fit.

There's not much depth in that spot.
Crutchfield does sell some spacers though. So it is possible to make it work if you really want that speaker.

I bought some other speakers the Pioneer TSG1643R. They are just fine. The interesting this is that they didn't fit to the original door holes so i built spacers from the old genuine speakers !!
