"Low Fuel" light?

Do 2nd Gens have a light that comes on when your gas is low? I know of 1st gens having it, but wondered if the BD/BGs did too!

And don't let it go down to the light. Definitely not a good thing for the pump/filter/injectors or you pocket/time to repair all that in the long run. But, if you're on the highway etc... and it does come on, you're looking at an estimated 30 miles or so before she dies out on you.

thanks. I've never had the light come on, and thought maybe the light was not working properly. Guess I have never ran on fumes yet! lol

yep! mine most of the time comes on with 2-3 gallons left, but then again I have had it not come on till 1/2 a gallon and also come on at 8ish gallons.. They have no rhyme or reason for when after a few years.

Just know that if it does come on, get fuel! haha

My low fuel warning light also don't work (i think). I've never seen it lit up even when the gauge is way below the E. I just put gas eveytime its at the 1/8 so I don't mess it up

Most of the time I pump around 12 gallons back in when I empty the tank, but the last time it went to about 13.4 gallons.

This is the diag procedure, if its not one move on to the next:
1) Change the light bulb.
2) Test your sending unit (the leveler is working but the signal output may be the issue)
3) Replace your sending unit.
