Hello to all.

Currently looking for a Legacy wagon, 2nd or 3rd generation - 2.5GT if I can get it. Need a new daily driver with some room and hoping to eliminate a car payment. My family has been in Subarus for quite a while, and it's odd that I've not owned one myself; now's the time, I think.

Hoping to do some mild modifications, so I'll be around here learning what I can.

Cool beans.

Welcome to SLi.

Where do you live? With that info we can suggest some kijiji / craigslist / etc.. links..

Exciting that you choose a legacy instead of an impreza? Any particular reason for this choice?>

Also what price / year / trim / transmission are you looking for.

-Chuck

Thanks.

-I've been trolling AutoTrader, Cars.com, Craigslist. I've never heard of kijiji but I'll check it out now.
-I want a Legacy 'cause it's bigger, and I need to stay away from turbos for a while. With the older Legacy that should be simple.

If I had my way, I'd get a 98 or 99 2.5GT wagon with manual transmission. Rare I know so I'm also looking at L wagons, but staying away from Outback and Brighton. I'm also considering 3rd-gen wagons, same criteria.

There you have it...

Gen 2 GT Wagons (BK) are very common in North America.. I am sure one will pop up for less then $2400.

Welcome! Cincy is full of Subbies...

How much are you looking to spend?

If Cincy is full of Subarus, they're being well-hidden. I see lots of Imps and Foresters but few Legacys...

My budget is $5-$6k. In that range I can pay cash for a good, well-maintained car.
