hey guys, found a set of cheap oem 2.5 turbo pistons by searching for 04 baja. rock has them as well.
DNJ ENGINE COMPONENTS Part # P720
linking ebay is annoying so i ssd it for future ref.

so i am thinking of using cometic headgaskets and these pistons in a stock ej25d with the stock dohc heads running on the wrx or baja ecu, fuel system, intake manifold, turbo system, and perhaps intake manifold from an ej20 if it will fit and if there is a gain, and an oil pump from the turbo engine if there is a difference.

if wrong on the combination of those components i would appreciate any feedback. thanx

You can buy pistons and rods from an ej257 block with low miles. If you have a phase 2 block they would work without changing anything else.

that is sweet. 200 for rods n pistons - shipping. not bad @ all. that was in 2010, but if they are still doing business, then sounds like a plan. one question, is the ej25d and ej257 crank the same? if so, that would mean all i would need is the rods and pistons and good acl bearings, arp rod bolts, and a com headgasket set.

If you have a phase 2 block the rods will bolt up to the crank. The crank in a phase 1 engine has smaller journals. This thread explains a lot of it but is pretty long.

You have a EJ25D the crank/pistons from a STi will need to be worked to fit the Phase 1 block.. Phase 2 blocks like the EJ251/2/3 are pretty easy to find from local subaru clubs.
