Girlfriends legacy is having torque binding issues. So I decided to go out and get some ATF and Lubeguard ATF protectant.

I bought 12 quarts of Valvoline Import spec. It says on the back Subaru ATF-HP.

Can I use it? Or will do I need to use the Dex/Merc style?

As long as it meets the grade specified in her owners manual, it'll be fine.
