Needs other than Clutch Kit...

Hey guys!
So i will be changing my clutch set with a new one... I was wondering what parts that i might need to buy since it will be the first time i will be changing my car's clutch... Do i need to buy some rubber seals or something like that? Cause i remember when i changed my HGs i saw some pictures here on the web showing the main engine with no transmission and that i saw some oil dripping on the upper right side which is oil leaking and all that. Anybody know what rubber seal or thingy is that, that i need to buy as well when i will be changing my clutch? And i have some oil leaking straight down my down pipe exhaust. I can't f ind the link in this website so i need some help please... Thanks!!!

If it hasn't been done yet, you need to do the rear flex plate thing on the engine. You should do the rear main seal as well.

You should also look into the TSK snout repair kit if your transmission snout is worn. I just put one of these on, and it's definitely worth it to reduce chatter and make the engagements butter smooth.

Definitely do the rear main seal if you are pulling the trans or engine. Also the oil separator plate like mentioned. You can get the parts cheap from subarupartsforyou.com and they sell a kit with everything included.

Make sure to get your flywheel resurfaced it makes I big difference ... not getting it surfaced is like doing brakes with out getting your rotors turned or replacing them.

If you decided to go with a snout repair kit, make sure you get the right one for your car, the one linked up above is for Turbo Subarus, they do offer a kit that would for work for your car as well. besides what has been mentioned i can't think of anything else.

If its your first time doing a subaru clutch, i would recommend pulling the motor instead of dropping the transmission. Dropping the trans can be a real pain, but its pretty simple and strait forward to pull the engine. good time to do anything else you may want to do to the engine that is easier to do with the engine out.
