Hi guys,
I am super broke and I want to get my swaybar installed. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and I really don't want to wait for my next 2 checks to have a shop install it. So I was wondering if I can get some help? I really need step by step instructions on how to install my whiteline swaybar on my Bh.
I don't have a lot of tools so I might have to buy/borrow some. I would say my mechanical skills are very low, but I have the whole weekend so I think I can do it in that timeframe. I envy all you mechanically inclined brothers here! I'm excited to try it, but nervous at the same time. hehe
Thanks Guys!

you dont really have to remove the tires but it makes it easier to access, I usually just put the rear of the car on ramps and crawl underneath

Couple questions. I dont have any grease. What kind can I buy? Are there little packets so I don't have to buy a big container? When I do grease the bushings, do I grease the inside and outside of it? Or just the inside where bar sits?
Also, When I put the car on jack stands, do I have to leave the E-Brake locked or unlocked? I know I have to put the car in first gear to prevent it from rolling.
Thanks Again.

Lock ebrake and put a block infront of the front wheel just in case, I didn't use grease and its been fine

Any automotive store "parts source/auto zone/pep boys" will sell small tubes of silicon grease or rubber safe grease applications.
Shouldn't cost you more then $10 for a tube...

So when I grease the bushings, do I only grease the inside of it where it meets the bar or the outside as well where it meets the bracket?

Outside and inside. Any surface area that will have movement or pivoting .. Inner diameter and where the bracket meets is sufficient.

Also any non-petroleum based grease will work.. Some people use lithium grease..

That would be awesome but I'm actually in the 408 San Jose area. I can definitely use some help and You're more than welcome to come by, but I know you're like an hour away and time is valuable.

If help is needed, I can offer on doing the RSB (im located over in 510). I did the whiteline install on my BH last year, its pretty straight forward to do, just make sure you have a good extension to break the endlink bolts.

Yeah your like an hour and a half. It would be better if you bring it over to my house cause i have all the tools but for the amount of gas/time it would be the same as paying someone to do it.
Bhatman is more closer to you and have the experience :smt023
