How to take off plastic wheel well to install CAI.

Wassup guys!

I have an Injen CAI, but right now its a shortram. I could'n figure out how to make it a cold air because I didn't have the knowledge of removing the front bumper like it says so on the instructions. My friend told me to just remove the plastic wheel well, but to be careful not to break snap on screws that attatch it.

What do you guys reccommend? Should I take off my front bumper? How long does that take? Or should I remove the wheel well? Is there a specific tool to use so I won't break the screws, because I really want to put my wheel well back on and not drive without it. My friend says he just pulled his wheel well off and never put it back on. :shock:

never removed the wheel well but the bumper isn't too bad

remove grill (youll probably break some clips though)
remove headlights and corners
remove both fenders (2 bolts are under the car, 2 inside the door, 2 by the headlight (if my mind serves me right) and the bolts going down the engine bay and theres also a clip that attaches it to the bumper
remove all the clips on the top of the bumper
remove clips by the license plate mount

might be missing some things but basically if somethings connected to the bumper remove it, if you cant get to it remove the part that's in your way. it takes a while but gets the job done

Sativa has a BH so the grille is attached to the hood..
There is no need to remove the fenders to install a cold air intake.


The bumper removal procedure is located in the Factory Service Manual. Step by Step with pictures... Simple enough..

Wheel wells are attached with plastic phillips push screws.. The strip easily.. consider buying replacements from the dealership ...

You need to remove both..

The piping needs to run above the wheel wheel and into the bumper.

Its the same business as removing the snorkle-ectemy.
