Ok. I'm considering doing the H6 Rear Brake Upgrade and I just want your thoughts on it.

Looking for anyone who has done it and your impressions of it.

Also, what all would I need to do this? I'm already on 02 WRX brakes all the way around.
Looking around on the internets has landed me this. All I need is the rotors and caliper brackets. Is this correct?

My reasoning for this is 2 reasons
1. Looks. When I went up to my WRX brakes. The front looks nice and full. The rear has this tiny (same size as rotor as the factory rotor for my 95 L) rotor.

2. Stopping power. Bigger brakes tend to help stop ya quicker. I do plan on eventually competing with my car in autocross and other style events for enthusiasts.

I also hope this might help with my braking balance. When I was on my factory L brakes and applied them. The car felt neutral when braking. By that I mean the nose didn't dip hard anything. When I switched the the nice and bigger WRX brakes. The cars bias is now to the front and the nose dips.

Buy 2004 REAR LGT loaded calipers + rotors. Install, bleed brake line, done.

If I were going to do this again, I probably wouldn't do the front brake upgrade, but seeing as I needed front brakes as well as rears, and I don't like to have mismatched parts on my car, I just did the entire thing.

Differences? Not as much as I thought - my car was already pretty well balanced out with the stock brakes. Did it haul down faster? Not really. Does it look better? Yes, but it's no Porsche GT.

The upgrade from L front brakes...Is much bigger then coming from a GT/Outback 2 pot.

05 LGT front brakes are where it's at.

What style of rotors would you recommend?
Blanks, Slotted, Drilled.

My front ones are WRX Blanks.

Match the front rotors with the rear otherwise it would look retarded. Blanks will be fine.

Rotors, caliper bracket and maybe the retaining pins but sometimes its cheaper to just buy used caliper on ebay. Its good that you already have a phase 2 rear brakes cause on the phase 1's you need the whole rear caliper from the 00-04 legacy. The h6 bracket won't work on the phase 1.

This should balance out your brakes. If not you can get a more aggressive pad on the rears
