ABS codes.. need help!! (video of codes included)

So my ABS light has been coming on sporadically. I pulled the codes, and this is what i appear to have wrong:

CODE #28 (RL) Rear Left? Is this the drivers side rear?
CODE #42 SOURCE VOLTAGE IS LOW
CODE #22 Front Right wheel sensor when no open circuit or speed signal input

Does anyone know what I should check for these?

What does source voltage low mean? Could this be related to the fact that my battery is dead or nearly dead? Could this be causing the ABS issues?

Here is a video of the codes. If anyone can look over it and see if I got the codes right, that would be very helpful:

Those abs codes are from damaged, bent or dirty sensors.

Look at the photo there to see what the sensor looks like.

You can also be missing a tooth off of your tone wheel which would throw an ABS code.

Cool. I'm guessing its from dirty sensors since its been really muddy / salty around here lately. Maybe I just need to pull them and clean them out? Is that possible?

If not, this may be related to the fact that my ebrake is on its last limb and has been for a while. The cables are completely stretched, and they have been adjusted to their last possible setting.

Is it possible the e-brake is causing this issue? Would worn e-brake pads be doing this, or what else could be causing the issue?

Any ideas on the source voltage is low error?

Yes, the left side of the car is the drivers side check the sensor to see if anything obvious is wrong.

CODE #42 SOURCE VOLTAGE IS LOW
This could very well have been set when your battery was low or dying. Who know when the code was set it could just be a history code. Or was your battery low when you were pulling the code?

CODE #22 Front Right wheel sensor when no open circuit or speed signal input
Once again check for any obvious things out of place. Broken/missing tone wheel, bent sensor, ect.


You should not be getting a code from just dirty sensors from dirt/salt. The only thing that would affect the sensor is if there is metal shavings that got stuck to the sensor. And really the ebrake should not affect your WSS. They are in the same general area but don't really affect each other.

Hmm, odd. I reset the codes and hopefully they will be thrown again so I can get some more info. Hoping its not the tone wheels or both sensors or something. What a hassle.

Any other stuff I can do to test / check these out? Guess its gonna have to go up in the air =[

Is there a way to clean them?

Does anyone know if its possible to check the tone wheels without pulling the rotor off and such?

I can't confirm on the second gens but my on my car you can see them from the back with out removing anything.
