I have had heating isssues with this car since I bought it. It always acted like it had air in the system, dispite my multiple attempts to bleed it out. I always just bleed the system by removing the rad cap, but noticed that there was a bleed screw on the opposite side of the rad. It turns out that it's just a bolt someone pushed down in, since the plastic stock screw must have broken. It doesn't appear the be leaking, but it can't be air tight, so I must be loseing coolant through evaporation. Is this part something that can be bought, or am I just going to have to plug the hole up with someone else?

the bleeder screw is plastic, the threads in the rad for the bleeder screw are plastic, if someone jammed something into it as a hillbilly fix the threads are f&^ked. hmm, if you plastic weld a new threaded cylinder and screw maybe it would clear the hood, or you need a new radiator :( I dont know if you can re-thread that part :smt017

or if the bolt in it now fits and screws down and not just "push" down you could get or make a gasket for the setup and your golden :smt023

^after I gave you that same plug for your car, I ended up just RTVing a bolt and threading it into the hole, and it's been fine (knock on wood) ever since.

will you be able to remove it ever or is it in there for good now?

It will spin back out, it's just regular RTV, not JB weld haha

I removed this bolt, washer, gasket, nutty assortment out of the rad today and installed a plug that I had sitting around from my SRT-4's AGP coldside pipe. I think this should work a lot better. Here's hopeing for some heat!
