As my car sits now, rusting in the early afternoon sun, I am perplexed my the course I should take in regards to it's exhaust.

Right now my exhaust is as follows: OBX EL header > Busted High flow cat* > 2.25" stainless midpipe with OBX resonator & 18" Vibrant resonator > Vibrant Universal Turbo muffler

The issues I have are:

1. Too Damn Loud: When I made the engine swap I never expected the necessary exhaust changes to be as loud as they are. Before I added the CAT and resonator driving with the windows down would make my ears ring. According to my highly scientific and accurate Db meter on my phone 80Db is the peak and 75Db is the average, which is too loud imho to haul my brat around in.

2. It sounds like crap: EL Headers are no longer worth the reported hp bump over UEL's in terms f step on the gas sound

*accidentally shattered the ceramic via vibration issues

I'm not sure what I should do to get this all worked out SPT muffler, whole new system from moore preformance, etc...

I'd get a wrx/sti muffler and be done with it. The biggest changes in the exhaust volume are going to come from a muffler swap, and oem is as quiet as it comes. Glad others are starting to hop on the bandwagon concerning having a quiet exhaust. I -hated- the drone from my 3" turbo setup. It was beautiful and sexy as hell, but just too loud.
