Rubbing front driver wheel---not axle

So I've read most posts. The cv axle is solid, the wheel bearing has no movement. The wheel is not hitting the fender. The dust sheild was bent slightly away from the rotor. The sound only happens during sharp corners. near or over 40 mph only right turns. Read that maybe swaybar bushing or viscous clutch. Sound not apparent during slower turns. no brake vibration. dust sheild hitting caliper or some other caliper issue. Please help. sorry if wrong forum maybe need in brakes.

yes 14in, all tires same, size tread, 96 legacy wagon 100k. owner replace axles front l and r. had e brake adjusted in 10' could e brake rub one side. occasional burning smell from l wheel too?

It's your brake calipers. One is seized, or not bolted down tight.

Could also be a result of the hub nut not being TQ'ed right. I have seen it happen on my own car when the hub nut got lose and also took out the bearing and and caliper.

so to fix it buy new caliper? first check to see if caliper moves with brake applied or wiggles with fingers or just take to brake guy?

you could do a caliper rebuild, if you're up to it.

I never bother to rebuild the calipers - I don't have time.
But check the brakes before you go throwing parts at things. Service the brakes. All 4 corners of the car.
Take them apart and inspect all the parts, make sure the pins slide freely, make sure the pads aren't wearing unevenly, check the back of the rotors, make sure all the bolts are snugged down tight.

If it's not the brakes, check the hub and bearing like Dead suggested.
