Hey,

So yea, was on Tumblr looking for pics of Legacys a couple of days ago and stumbeled over this one. It's just what I was looking for.
Does anyone have any info on the car? Or more pictures of it? What size, width and ET the BBS RS's have? (if they are RS's that is.)

Here are the two pics i could find:

https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2012/01/35i3int-1.jpg

I'm grateful for any help I can get!

But I'm going to guess 16x8 on 205 40s all around. +25 offset. I had a similar setup.

They didn't have to get them from over there, they are also Grandwagon taillights.

I notice the area is Sendai... I don't know what to do with that info though....

I agree and if you look close in that first pic it looks like different tires front and back, the tread pattern does not match.

Iv seen pics of the car. in japan they are going through a fad where they copy USA cars/ styles which is funny because we copy there styles also. That car isnt jdm (tons of usdm parts), im thinking they shipped it in.

Sorry, couldn't resist but this made me  At first, I thought they were Style 5 BBS, then at second glance, they look like MSW Reps. That's probably all I can add.

Yeah, it's not a fad. They've been doing it as long as you all have. And they'll probably continue for just as long also.
And importing a car from the US to here isn't even close to the difficulty of sending one from here to there. So it makes more sense to just bring the whole thing if that's what you really want...

That is a USDM car huh... It's got high rise side trim... Cant really tell what side the wheel is on though... Thats kinda funny though... Importing a US spec Japanese car to Japan... lol

Not really. In 1998, A friend of mine exported a 1991 300Z TT from here to there. It's not uncommon, but expensive. I believe (don't remember exactly) that the car went from Boston to Cali, then on a ship to Japan.

It's not totally USDM. Has the JDM sidemarkers on it. And that exhaust isn't stock either. They probably had to install the sidemarkers for safety compliance and the exhaust is because, well, every Subaru should have a big one. LOL

Sorry for not responding, I'm not a troll and it's not my car. The reason for me posting it on the swedish site 'Garaget.org' is that i'm swedish makeing it the first place to look.
I've been talking to the original poster of the two pictures on Tumblr and he has been looking for it on Minikara where he first found it, But since hes in the US and i'm in sweden and we are on diffrent timezones it's taken alot of time to get a few words out. And he has still not found it again, So I'm glad Okin found it!

The only real info i want on the car is the specs of the wheels.

The 'LesboWagon' Legacy is the reason i fell in love with the legacy, Love it. But i'm into the whole wide-tunnel rs's and when I saw the one the thread is about i just had to find out the specs of it. A legacy wagon here in Sweden is the perfect daily for our climat and it's both cheap to buy and own and there are alot of them.

@Okin DaVanh

I'd appreciate if you could let both me, and the others know the specs of the wheels, and anything else you might have found out :)

Regards

/Mathias

Get up to 25 posts under your belt, and then we'll talk. Sorry, but sooooooooo many people come here for our "expertise" and then fall off the map. Contribute here a little, and I would've had no problem putting out the entire specs. Post, run and lurk every now and then, does'nt cut it for me.

However, I will give you this: They are 18x8 and adapters were used. Good luck, and I'm done with this thread.

No offense but that is the stupidest thing I have read on this forum. Looking at someones post count before you answer a question? really?? :smt011 I dont see why someone who only came here to find a bit of info is any less entitled to getting that info than someone who comes here too chat every day. Everybody is a noob at some point.

OP, although I do not know the info you asked about, you could take a look at Chromehorn's journal. He was running some 17 inch rs's at one point. http://www.sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=23003

^^ that's not his point. He doesn't have to give up the info if he doesn't want it, and really - if someone wanted the info they could just go find it just like Okin did. All he's trying to do is say "hey. Stick around and be part of the community and share some info rather than just be some anonymous blob, getting your info from us and jetting out.". It's like a bro showing up, stealing your beer and leaving before the game has even started.

I'm gonna agree with most of this. Also Okin didn't find any info. Those aren't 18's. Still no specs/info on the blue car. Can't see Mathias coming back, don't blame him.

17's aren't on the car yet. The RS's were 16s. Grabbing the 17's from the powder coaters tomorrow though.

True, that those are NOT 18x8 BBS's That was already established earlier.

Look, I have no problem with the OP or even him dropping the thread and giving Han his notoriety. I like the car. :smt023 I wanted to see, what more info he too, might have found. I obviously put in some effort myself, and so didn't others. Nice car. Hope to see/share with the owner on here 1 day.

Okin: I understand what you mean with people just going here for knowlege and then booting, I've seen it plenty of times on all kinds of sites. And, hence I'm going to get a Legacy i'll probably start posting to help out here as I learn more about the car. Today I don't have that much to contribute. I like this forum, and have found out lot's just browsing around here. I'm here to stay.

I'm currently talking to a friend of a friend that's japanese, To help me look through Japanese forums and Minikara for more info on the car or some kind of contactinfo to Han (Thanks for finding out that name!)

It's a sick build, just like chromehorn's

I hope to spread the Legacy Love here in Sweden as much as I can this summer. I just have to find that mint Legacy to start off with!

@Okin, Thanks for putting time into this, I'ts much appreciated. I should have fell in love with the Legacy earlier and registered so I could have had my post-count up, so that it wouldnt look like I was only here to get info and leave :P Sorry about that!

@chromehorn, Hope too see some new pics of your ride with 17's soon! I love your work!

And ofc, thanks to all of the others that have contributed to this thread :)

@lotek9003- No problem and I apologize (yes, publicly) if you were offended. This is NOT the way SL-i nor it's members are. I have no problem helping you out, but I do also feel that Han should be the 1 showcasing his car. This got way outta hand when others began assuming I was taking shots at you. I meant it with humor, but it was sadly mistaken for animosity. Again, no one here is out to attack you, and most will help you in any way possible. Enjoy your stay.
