A Few Question On Springs

I was looking to buy new springs for my Bk and I had a few questions.
1. Pros? Cons?
2. It says I can use them with Subaru genuine struts or STi struts but STi springs wont work with my factory struts so will these work with my struts?
3. Is there any other quality lowering springs that are cheaper and are still stiff for auto-x?

1. I've always wanted to buy these springs, but can't justify the price including shipping. I also heard somewhere that they were discontinued and just haven't been taken off the site yet! Needs confirmation tho.
2. I've never seen that part that says Use with Subaru genuine struts or STi struts until now, I would assume you could use stock struts, but I'm not entirely sure now. I also assumed that if you got the GT-B version of the springs they would best suit the JDM bilstein struts, which are the same basic shape as your stock struts. Either way, the springs should fit tho because, for example, right now I have STi springs on JDM Legacy bilstein struts on my BK. I have info on that hybrid suspension thing here:

3. The one I keep hearing about is H&R Sport. Great drop and people still use them for auto-x successfully. I actually just bought a set, this set more specifically:

04 STi springs and struts are pretty stiff and cheap, but have an uneven ride height front to back. STi lowering springs seem to solve that problem tho. As soon as I get my H&R springs I can say if I recommend them or not.

Ok thank you. I will be looking forward to see what you think. I have a set of STi springs from my dads old car but the price of struts with low miles drove me away. I have his old STi tophats on my car now so I was thinking if I had springs I would be set for awhile. A couple more questions I have is if you know of any quality strut bars and sway bars that wont cost me a fortune? Thanks again.

You're welcome. I don't know too much about strut bars and sway bars, but I know people get strut bars off of ebay for cheap. Almost all front impreza strut bars will fit a 2nd gen legacy and quite a few rear ones will too. I'm not sure exactly which ones fit but that has been discussed on here before. Try searching for it. Quality for those on the other hand I'm not sure about, but I haven't heard any complaints.

As for sway bars, you can get an upgraded legacy GT or outback RSB. There's a topic in the DIY thread about using a Tribeca 25mm FSB on our cars. Those are OEM quality! If you want a bigger RSB than OEM, you'll probably have to go more expensive.

Can someone post pictures of there BK with H&R sport springs on 17s? I would like to see the clearance because the roads aren't the best in Alaska.
